The first burial in The Glens Falls Cemetery took place in 1855. There are many burials prior to that date, most of which came from the disposition of the old "West Street Cemetery" in the early 1870's.
Since then the cemetery has expanded many times. The most recent addition in 1973, has increased the cemetery to 32 acres with over 12,000 burials. It is currently the only cemetery in the City of Glens Falls.
The cemetery is open Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30, closed on weekends & Holidays.
