Charlotte Rohleder, 60, wife of Alfred “Al” Rohleder, longtime residents of Bartlesville, died at 9:45 Tuesday, August 19, 1986 in the Jane Phillips Hospital.
Mrs. Rohleder was born in Walker, Kansas, Nov. 25, 1925 and was the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (VonFeldt) Kippes.
She was reared and attended elementary school in Walker and graduated form high school in Victoria, Kansas.
She married Alfred Rohleder Nov. 27, 1945, and they resided in Hays, Kansas, where Mr. Rohleder was owner/operator of an electrical shop.
Mr. Rohleder associated himself with Phillips Petroleum Company in Eureka, Kansas in 1953 and was transferred to Bartlesville in 1955 where they have continued to make their home.
Mrs. Rohleder had been employed with the Examiner Enterprise since 1971 as an Accounting Supervisor and had continued in that capacity until her illness several months ago. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church; a member of the Pathfinder’s Credit Women International; was Corresponding Secretary of the Kee Ta Quay Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association; the VFW; and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Al Rohleder of the home; two sons, Steve Rohleder of Stillwater and Michael Rohleder of Saratoga, Calif.; two daughters, Susan Tippie and Mary Rohleder, both of Tulsa; two grandchildren; her mother, Elizabeth Kippes of Great Bend, Kan.; one brother, Gilbert Kippes of Hays, Kan.; three sisters, Lillian Robben of Midwest City, Okla., Vera Springer of Denver, Colo., and Pearl Call of Great Bend, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 22 in the sanctuary of St. John’s Catholic Church. Father Steve Austin, associate pastor of the church officiated. Casket bearers were Messrs. H.H. Hurley, Leonard LaDuke, George McCourt, Dennis Befort, Bob Pendergraff, and Jim E. Majors.
