In May 15, 1911, Chris and Henry purchased land SW of Fox Valley, SK. The farming life started in Canada. Bertha washed/repaired linen/clothes for the local hotel in Fox Valley. They had no vehicle for transportation, the horses and tractor were their transportation.
After Henry died Bertha and her son, Alex, kept on farming. They purchased a house in the city of Medicine Hat, AB. for the winter months 1948-1959 until Alex got married.
