Lucille Greene, Age 84, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, May 12, 2018 after a long and hard fought battle with several health issues.
She was born August 8, 1933 in Ohio but lived most of her life here in Birmingham where she devoted her life to her husband, two daughters and two grandchildren.
Lucille is preceded in death by her loving husband, Cecil W. Greene (1930-2009); her precious daughter Becky Greene (1958-2013); her parents, John Hans (1893-1954) & Irene Olive Bartlett Zimpelman (1902-1994), brothers; Johnny (1921-1944), Leonard (1923-1990), Carl Robert (1928-2009) & Bobby Zimpelman; sisters and brother-in-laws, Irene (1925-1998) and Bill Everett, RoseMarie (1931-2004) & Fred Weibel (1927-2000).
Also preceded by Paternal Grandparents; George Zimpelman ( 1871-1926) born in Germany and Mary Bechtold Zimpelman (1871-1917).
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda & Johnny Witte; granddaughter & husband, Ashley & Eric Clements; grandson, Carleton Witte; sister and brother-in-law, Frances & Richard Grace; brother, Donny Zimpelman; sister-in-law, Dorothy Zimpelman and a host of loving nieces & nephews.
The family will have visitation at 1:00 Thursday, May 17th with the funeral at 2:00, at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville.

Robert Lee Zimpelman, age 69, of Alliance, passed away at 6:47 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Oakhill Manor.
He was born November 21, 1942, in Alliance, Ohio, to John H. and Irene O. (Bartlett) Zimpelman.
Robert attended Alliance High School and was employed for more than 25 years at Sancap as a cutter.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War. He was also a life member of the American Legion, VFW and DAV.
Survivors include his brother, Don Zimpelman of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his sisters; Lucille Greene of Birmingham, Alabama and Frances (Dick) Grace of Paris, Ohio; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Johnny, killed in WWII, Leonard and Carl Zimpelman; and two sisters, Irene Everett and Rose Marie Weibel.

Rebecca (Becky) Lynn Greene, age 55, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 30th, at home with her loving mother, sister and dear friend & caregiver, Roselle Hill by her side. Becky was a very special and loving person who taught everyone around her unconditional love and compassion. She loved to sing, dance, swim and cheer for her Auburn Tigers. She loved to celebrate birthdays and going to Guntersville with her family. Everyone she met received a hug and felt the special love that came with it. Whenever we lost a family member, Becky would simply remind us, "it was ok, we would see them again." Becky attended The Opportunity Center for 15 years. She also participated in the Special Olympics for several years. She is preceded in death by her father, Cecil W. Greene; her grandparents Olen & Jessie Greene and John & Irene Zimpelman; several loving aunts and uncles. She is survived by her loving mother and caregiver, Lucille Greene; her sister, Brenda (Johnny) Witte; her niece, Ashley Witte; her nephew, Carleton Witte; and a host of wonderful family and friends." The precious Angel who walked among us will now be watching over us." The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 4th, at 11:00 with the Funeral at 12:00, Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville
