He was born to Herman and Lucy (Brunemier) Fuhrer.
When he was young his family moved to a farm south of Naper, Nebraska where Ray attended school, graduating from Naper High School in 1941.
He worked for various farmers in the area before enlisted in the US Army in 1945. He served in World War II in the Philippines and with the Occupational Force in Japan. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
In 1948 he went to work for the Nebraska Department of Roads in the Jamison and Naper area. He served this area until his retirement in 1988.
Two of his favorite things were fishing and playing cards with his friends.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Theola; an infant son,Raymond; four brothers: Ben, Bob, Harry and Allen; three sisters: Lila and two infant sisters: Irene and Betty.

Raymond heiratete Fuhrer, Theola P. - wife of geschätzt 1950. Theola wurde geboren in 1927; gestorben in 1961 in ,,, USA; wurde beigesetzt in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Naper, Boyd County, Nebraska, USA. [Familienblatt] [Familientafel]
