Adoph and Johanna Moser were both born in Russia; Adolph in 1878 near Odssa, and Johanna in 1885 at Rohrbach, Russia. It seems that their ansestors had migrated from Germany in about 1848. The anscestors were encouraged to go to Russia with the promise of rich land, and what a disappointment this was! They had spent what money they had, farming was poor, and the Russian government took most of what they raised, so there was no going back to Germany. These migrants were called German Russians.
However, Somehow Adolph and Johanna (Gemar) were able to go to America; Johanna and her family to Sutton, Nebraska in 1901, and Adpolph's family to Loveland, Colorado. By some means they met and were married January 31, 1905, at Fort Collins, Colorado.
They lived for awhile at Loveland where their first child was born February 2, 1906, namely William A. (blil) Mosr. TheMosers lived for a year or two at Lovland, and then took up a homestead in eastern Colorado, at Yuma. In ten years at Yuma, they only had two crops due to dropht and hail. While at Yuma five more children were born. Twins Rudoph and Gustave were born in 1907. Freda in 1911; Edna 1913; and Ella 1915.
Johanna's parents, the Henry Gemars, lived at Agawam, Montana, during this time. So Adolph, accompanied by five year old Freda, made a trip to Montana in the fall of 1916 to look around for better prospects of farming He was encouraged by the good crops he saw. Adoplh made up his mind he would sell out in Yuma and move to Montana.
On February 11, 1917, the Mosers moved to Monatana. When they arrived in Brady, they met Paul Kropp who kindly ofered to take them to Morhardts who lived near Agawam. Mrs. Morthardt and Johanna were sisters. They lived for awhile with Johann's parents, the Henry Gemars, who lived close to Agawam.
After souting around for awhile, they found some farm buildings on 30 acres of land, which Adolph leased from Manuel Schlepp who lived at Brady. Adolph managed to get his land plowed up and raised a good crop of flax. Across

Ex-Conrad Man Killed in Honduras
Robert Gordon Moser, 36, a Conrad native, was shot and killed in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, according to information received here. Circumstances of the death were not available.
Moser was an importer and exporter in the Central American Country, going there from Salt Lake City in 1969.
Born April 4, 1934, at Conrad, he was reared in the Conrad-Brady area and farmed with his father for several years before going to Salt Lake as a salesman in 1967.
Survivors include the widow, Linda; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Moser, Conrad; two sisters, Mrs. James Emerson, Yakima, Wash., Mrs. Ed. Bradseth, Vancouver, Wash., sons, Rodney Alan and Robert Lee; a daughter, Betty Mae Moser; grandparents, Mrs. Hannah Moser, and Mrs. Rosa Keller, all of Conrad.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Conrad Mission Church, burial in the Conrad Cemetary under direction of Croxford & Son Mortuary of Great Falls.

Burial: Cremated, Ashes scattered. Specifically: Near the family cabin on the west fork of the Teton River.
Kenny served in the Army National Guard in the early 1950s. He was a farmer and mechanic and truck driver for Big Sky Equipment in Conrad retiring in 1997.
He was a former member of the Brady Saddle Club. He loved horses and playing cowboy polo. He loved bowling, playing pool, hunting and spending time at the family cabin. He was married but divorced at the time of his death.
Kenny passed away at age 62 at his home near Choteau. Memorial Services were held with burial of ashes at the Choteau Cemetery.
