    Daniel Harr, 81, of Walla Walla, Wash., former resident of the Woodworth community, died Thursday in Jamestown Hospital. He had been visiting relatives and friends here. Funeral services will be held Sunday noon in the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Pastor Elmer Haas officiating. The body will be taken to Walla Walla for interment at College Place, Wash. Born Dec. 27, 1892, in McIntosh County, N.D., Mr. Harr was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Harr. In May, 1900, he moved with his parents to Valley Springs Township and he attended school there and in Deear Lake Township. He farmed for a time with his parents. His marriage to Emma Hieb took place Feb. 14, 1918, at Jamestown, and they farmed in Valley Springs Township until 1931, when they moved to Wadsworth Township, near Woodworth. In 1944, they moved to Walla Walla, Wash., where Mr. Harr worked in a cannery, and later as a gardener until his retirement. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in College Park, Wash. Mr. Harr is survived by his wife; six children, Leander Harr, Woodworth; Ervin Harr, Indio, Calif., Raymond Harr, Placerville, Calif., Elmer Harr, Montesano, Calif.; Mrs. Glen Tower (Carol), Redding, Calif., and Gerald Harr, Seattle, Wash.; 28 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, Mrs. Katherine Bitz, Mrs. E.E. Haas (Lydia), Peter D. Harr and Henry Harr, all of Jamestown; Emanuel Harr and Mrs. Al Bietz (Rose) Lincoln, Neb., and Albert Harr, Renton, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers

    Leander R. Harr, 84, Woodworth, ND, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at his home in Woodworth. Mr. Harr was born April 14, 1917, at Cleveland, ND, the son of Dan and Emma (Heib) Harr. They moved to a farm northeast of Woodworth, where he grew up and attended school. He served in the Civil Conservation Corps in Middle River, MN. He married Evelyn Pieske June 2, 1941, at Jamestown. They lived on several farms around Woodworth before buying the Adoph Haser farm in Goldwin Township in 1950. He was a dairy farmer and also drove school bus for 17 1/2 years. They had an auction sale on Oct. 6, 1978, when they retired, but they continued to live in Woodworth. He enjoyed woodworking and word search. He is survived by his wife; six sons, Dale (Ardeen), Woodworth, Nathan (Gloria) and Curtis (Valery), both Jamestown, Marlin (Marlys), Pettibone, ND, Kelvin (Sheila), Courtenay, ND, and Noel (Rolene), Fargo, ND; two daughters, Ardell Quigley (Gene Schapp) and karen (Todd) Krenz, both Jamestown; four brothers, Ervin, Darrington, WA, Raymond (Lorraine), Ontario, OR, Elmer (Evelyn), Montesano, WA, and Jerry (Lois Higgins), Livingston, TX; a sister, Carol (Glenn) Tower, Phoenix, OR; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter and a great-grandson
