R. Chandler, who died Monday, Aug. 5, 2002, in Battle Ground. She was 72.
Mrs. Chandler was born June 1, 1930, in Bigstone, S.D. She lived in Battle Ground for five years.
She built elaborate doll houses, which she donated to the battered women's shelter in Vancouver.
She enjoyed all kinds of crafts. Her maiden name was Christians.
Her husband of 47 years, Donald S., died in 1994. Her survivors include two daughters, Cheryl R. Bisconer of Vancouver and Donna J. Scharnickel of Kent, Wash.; two sons, Gary D. of Battle Ground, and Larry E. of Hockinson; three sisters, Arlene Stevenson of Portland, and Merlys Folkens and Beverly Paterson, both of Minnesota; one brother, Bud Christians of Minnesota; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
