The ZION EVANGELICAL CHURCH & CEMETERY was established on the 3rd of August 1887 for payment of $3.75 to Johann Becker and wife Barbara for three acres of Sec 14, Twp 132, Rge 69, W5 "to be kept, used and maintained as a place of divine worship by the ministry and membership of the Evangelical Association of North America".
Visitors during the 2006 BECKER REUNION noted other than being fenced this unmarked cemetery was almost totally overgrown with tall grass and bushes. Numerous tombstones had been toppled and virtually totally overgrown.
