Cause of Death: Peritonitis Occupation: Wireman Place of Burial: Colma, California As a child "Chuck" and his family of 13, moved to San Francisco. Here he spent his childhood. He entered the army at a time when they wereforming the new Army Air Corps which later became known as the Air Force. Three men out of every hundred were picked for this new branch of service. Chuck was one of the chosen. He became an Air Force photographer. While stationed at Harvard AFB in Nebraska. He met and married a Nebraska native , Eleanor Louise Klein. A son was born while being stationed in Nebraska. After an Honorable Discharge from the service they moved to Merced, California where a second son was born. A third pegnancy terminated with a miscarrage. He moved his family to San Francisco's Park Steet to Brussel Street and later Bemus Street. He worked as a wireman for Myers Safty Switch Co. He had a double hernia operation in 1964 or 1965. He developed an infection, but never seen a doctor to treat it. He became so sick and debilitated he was taken to emergency room. They did emergency surgery taking out a large amount of intestines. The doctors stated the infection was throughout his body. He did regain consiousness after surgery. He was in a coma for Approx. one month. He was buried in Golden Gate National Cemetary in Colma, California.
