Note:
At age 4 moved with her family 200 versts, about 120 miles across the Dniester. From Rohrbach, Beresan, Kherson to Leipzig, Akkerman, Bessarabia, which is SW of Odessa. At death of Michael Pflugradt, she soon lost all the property. She then went to live in a neat white-washed house across the street from her brother, Peter Beierle, on the bank of the diminutive Chagin Saala River. In 1905 when her son, Peter Pflugrath and his family decided to leave for USA, she chose not to go, but changed her mind at the last minute. Her permit to leave was a simple piece of paper prepared by the local Kronental Administration. Upon arriving at the German border, the German officials denied her entrance for lack of official papers. Finally, with her nephew, Wilhelm Beierle's ( who was also in the emigration party) intervention and insistence, passage was permitted and she continued with the others to finally arrive in ND.
