August Weible, his third wife and his stepdaughter arrived at Ellis Island, NY, on 29 Oct 1902.
OBITUARY
August Weible's obituary states that he was born in Grossliebental on 24 Jan 1845. At the time of his death he was 86 yrs., 2 mos., 18 days old, making his date of death about 11 Apr 1931. He had 8 children, 3 daughters and 5 sons. All but 2 sons died before August did.
FAMILY
The two surviving sons of August Weible were Heinrich and Georg. They arrived at Ellis Island on 14 Nov 1901, with Heinrich's wife, son and daughter. August's son Georg was born just three months after his stepson, Philipp Weisenburger. August and Philipp's mother, Catharina (Hissong) Weisenburger, were married when the boys were just three years old. It seems likely that Georg and Philipp would have grown up together, at least until Catharina's death in 1897. Then Georg Weible and Philipp Weisenburger both lived in Bismarck in the 1920-30s. It is not known if the two families maintained contact with one another
