NOTE
A "John Wohl" of Russia was named in the 1920 obituary of his sister, Christina (Wöhl) Geissler. It is not known when he was born. No John or Johann is mentioned in the 1933 obituary of his brother Jacob.
A search of the EWZ index shows the following:
(1) Johann Woehl, b. 12 May 1856 or b. 1859 in Rohrbach, married Johanna Gemar and had children in Rohrbach: Johanna b. 9 Sep 1881, Peter b. 26 Jan 1884.
(2) Johann Woehl, b. 1867 in Rohrbach, married Katharina Reichert and had Peter, b. 29 Dec 1890 in Rohrbach.
While a birth in 1856 would not fit with this family, a birth in either 1859 or 1867 would be possible. It is not known if either of these is the correct Johann Woehl for this family.
