Gustav F. Geissler, 61, native of Medina and prominent agriculturist, died Monday at his home in Fargo. Since his retirement in 1959, he had been treated for a heart ailment.. Born June 7, 1901, at Medina, Mr. Geissler married Alma Peterson there Oct. 1, 1922. The farmed near Medina until 1940, when he went to Washington, DC, and was with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He moved to Denver, CO, in 1952 where he was associated with the National Farmers Union until he became ill in 1959 and retired to make his home in Fargo.. Mr. Geissler is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. M.J. Lambert (Jean), Glenview, IL; 5 brothers and sisters, Rev. Peter Geissler, Rochester, NY; Henry Geissler, Hillsboro, KS; Mrs. John Bauer (Mathilda), McClusky; Mrs. Fred Klein (Kathryn), New Salem; Mrs. J.R. Klundt (Sophia), Walla Walla, WA; and 2 grandchildren.
