OBITUARY
Albert Woehl, 87, Bismarck, died March 30, 2002, in a local care center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bismarck Community Church, with the Rev. Maury Millican officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, and for one hour prior to services at the church.
Albert was born June 18, 1914, on the family farm 17 miles southwest of Wishek, the son of Henry and Justina (Boschee) Woehl. He received his elementary education at the local rural school, and grew to manhood in the vicinity.
He married Esther Sprenger on Nov. 21, 1937, on the family farm southwest of Wishek. They farmed in the Wishek area until 1957, when they moved to Bismarck, where he worked at Kirschmann Manufacturing and as a custodian for the Bismarck school system. He retired in 1979. He entered the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in December 1999.
Albert was a member of the Bismarck Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Esther; two daughters, Geraldine (Leonard) Christensen, Bismarck, and Joane (Ralph) Hanson, Dent, Minn.; four grandchildren, Rhonda (Doug) Leet, Darby (Linda) Christensen, Stacey (Patrick) Heising and Ross Hanson; five great-grandchildren, Kari, Kristen and Eric Leet and Chase and Natalie Heising; and two sisters, Alma Engelhart, Aberdeen, S.D., and Leah Lindeman, Billings, Mont.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and three sisters.
