Notizen - Elli Wise:
About 1876, John Angus decided to go west in search of homstead land while his family stayed on the farm. He and a friend went to Brandon, Manitoba where they purchased oxen and a Red River cart.
Catherine sold the Ontario farm in 1882, then she, Mary Ann Lynam, and 4 young Angus children came to Elkhorn to join John.
After Bartholomew purchased his land on 15 Sep 1882, John sold his land and purchased SE1/4, Sect. 32-11-29, 8 miles west of Elkhorn) (i.e. adjacent to Bartholomew's).
After Bart's death on Oct 20 1883, John & Catherine lived on the SW1/4 (and in Elkhorn during part of the year).
While in Elkhorn, John Angus openned a butcher shop, which burned down bef 28 Jan 1893.
SE1/4 was left "In Trust" to William Angus.
