  Ruth Davidson: Born: Firdensthal, south Russia When she was eight years of age her parents migrated to America and took up a homestead claim near Eureka, South Dakota. Later the family moved to a farm near Tripp, south Dakota. They made their home on a farm 10 miles southwest of Trip, where they resided until the fall of 1919 when they moved to Tripp, making their residence there for the remainder of her life. Mrs. Hieb enjoyed good health until early 1946 when the first indication of an ailment made itself known. The condition gradually grew worse. she became bedfast and was soon taken to hospital. Surgery was necessary as a possible help, however, she failed to rally from it. She passed away at the St. Joseph Hospital in Mitchell, South Dakota.
