Feiock, 88, Aberdeen will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Battey officiating. Burial is at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Luella died Sunday, February 12, at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen. Visitation is 3-7 p.m., Tuesday, February 14, with family present from 5-7 p.m. at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home 1111 S. Main St. Luella L. Steiger was born on August 18, 1923 to Albert and Christina (Stoecker) Steiger on the family farm near Leola, SD. She attended school in Leola, graduating in 1942. After receiving her education, Luella taught at rural schools in McPherson County for three years. Luella married Elmer Feiock on July 4, 1944 at her parent's farm near Leola, and had three sons added to this union. They raised their family on a farm near Leola until moving to Aberdeen in 1968. They purchased rental property in Aberdeen and managed it together for 32 years. Luella worked at Control Data for 17 years. Luella was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Aberdeen. Church was a very important part of her life and she served with Ladies Mission Society, was a Deaconess, and taught Sunday school. Luella enjoyed embroidering and growing flowers. She was an excellent cook and baker and was known for her delicious apple pies and Kuchen. Luella's strong faith and love for God is a legacy that she has passed on to her family. She loved to spend time with her family and especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren. Grateful for having shared Luella's life are her husband, Elmer, Aberdeen, three sons, Les (Connee) Feiock, Harrisburg, SD, Stan (Lupe) Feiock, Phoenix, AZ, and Elmo (Myra) Feiock, Aberdeen, four grandchildren, Jason Feiock, Jeff (Ann Marie) Feiock, Jon (Megan) Feiock, all of Sioux Falls, and Chad Feiock, Powell, TN, seven great grandchildren, Joshua, Rachel, Madelyn, Robert, Maria, Jack, and Sophia Feiock, and sisters, Olivia Schaible and Lorraine Fauth, Aberdeen. Luella was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Christina Steiger. The family prefers memorials to Calvary Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
