He also spent several years as founder and director of a conference center in Conway, New Hampshire known as the World Fellowship. His age was 86. He was hospitalized after having suffered a heart attack while en route from St. Petersburg, Fla., to his summer home at Conway, NH, headquarters of the World Fellowship of Faiths, which he founded. A graduate student of the University of Michigan. Mr. Weller was a leader in the establishment of the Chicago Bureau of Charities. In 1901 he and his wife, the late Mrs. Eugenia Winston Weller, founded Neighborhood House, a settlement house in Washington. They later founded the first public playground in Washington. This playground led to the establishment of the Playground and Recreation Association of America. President Theodore Roosevelt appointed Mr. Weller chariman of the Washington Housing commission.His daughter, Mrs. Philena Montgomery, of New Rochelle, NY, survives.
