WISHEK — Eva Just, 92, Wishek, died April 20, 2012, at Wishek Home for the Aged. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek. Burial will be at St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery, Wishek.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek.
Eva Sayler, daughter of Edward and Christina (Weisser) Sayler was born April 20, 1920, on the family farm 16 miles southwest of Wishek. She was the oldest of 16 children. Eva attended rural school in the Wishek area and after schooling, she worked for the NYA in the Wishek area. Eva married Herbert E. Just on Jan. 28, 1940, at St. James Lutheran Church near Wishek. They farmed west of Wishek until 1980, when they retired and moved into Wishek. They entered the Wishek Home for the Aged in August 2003.
She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. Eva enjoyed quilting, bowling, cooking, gardening, playing cards and visiting.
Eva is survived by three sons, Garold (Lucille) Just, Wishek, Jesse (Joell) Just, Bismarck, and Ricky (Karen) Just, Wishek; two daughters, Janice (Daniel) Schmitt, Milan, Mich., and Betty (Larry) Boushey, Sandwood, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Reinhold (Ella-Mae) Sayler, Bismarck, Victor (Deanne) Sayler, Minneapolis, Daniel (Marlys) Sayler, Wishek, Herman (Alvina) Sayler, Wishek, and Albert (Betty) Sayler, Wishek; and four sisters, Edna Wiest, Wishek, Landina (Wilbert) Meidinger, Wishek, Arlena (Leo) Hauck, Wishek, and Christine (Dennis) Witt, Jamestown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; one son, Delmar; her parents, Edward and Christina; four brothers, John, Jacob, Edward and Ludwig; two sisters, Irene Just and Clara Thurn; and one son-in-law, Dennis Johnson.
