Information from Carol (Perry) Fuchs of Evansville, Indian Family had 5 sons and 4 daughters ( Florence Sailer of Bismarck states that Ludwig actually had 5 daughters ).
Ludwig's birth record can be found in St. Petersburg Records for Rohrbach Parish, Village of Johannestal on LDS Microfilm # 1895617/1 Pg 826, Reg 1. The Godparents are Johannes Sailer & wife Maria Heinle, Adam Auch & wife Rosina Delzer.
Information on Ludwig's death and burial from Florence Sailer of Bismarck, ND She also supplied information on Ludwig's wife and children. Ludwig was confirmed May 16 1899 according to his confirmation certificate. His death and burial was obtained by Florence from his death certificate. She also states the Marriage Certificate for Ludwig Mathius and Salome Erdman says they were married in the Reformed Church at Beulah, ND
Information from the Beulah, ND Golden Jubilee Book pg 310. Ludwig Sailer came to America 5/28/1902. Ludwig Mathius Sayler immigrated to New York on the ship Kronprinz Wilhelm I. He spent six weeks in SD before moving to Mercer Cty, ND Ludwig and his wife Salome homesteaded 2 quarters of land just north ofHighway 200 about 3 miles from Beulah, and lived there until 1932. After the land was sold, the Sailer family moved to the farm west of Beulah.
Florence Sailer has copies of the following documents in her posession for Ludwig Mathius Sayler: Confirmation Certification, Obituary, Passenger Record, Naturalization Paper, Oath of Allegiance, and Petition for Naturalization.
