G. Darlene Suck, daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth (Nelson) Jones, was born January 13, 1929 in Aurora. She departed this life on Thursday, March 6, 2003, in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 74 years.
Darlene attended Marquette schools and graduated from Marquette High School in 1946. She then worked in central City at a local dime store and then on the dental staff for Dr. Scott.
Darlene was united in marriage to Milton Suck on August 28, 1949 in Central City. The couple first lived on a farm southeast of Palmer. In 1960 they moved to Palmer where they have lived since. The couple managed the Coolidge Rest Home for 15 years.
Darlene enjoyed dolls, Snow Babies and Hummel figurines.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Palmer, the Modern Moms and enjoyed going to the Palmer Senior Center.
Survivors include her husband, Milton, of Palmer; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Dr. David Demuth of York and Darby and Bill Greenway of St. Paul; seven grandchildren; Cameron, Collin, Creighton, and Caitlin Demuth; and Ashley, Alexander, and Austin Greenway; and one great-granddaughter, Raegan Demuth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Marshall; one sister, Jewell E. Gregg; and one brother, Wilbur "Casey" Jones.
