Anna Marie Berhardine Kruse (nee Kameper) was born January 15, 1853, at Bippen, Hanover, Germany. At the age of three she came to America with her parents and settled in Washington County, Ills. where she grew to womanhood.
On December 14, 1869 she was united in holy wedlock to John Kruse and to this union eight children were born, of whom six are living.
On February 3, 1890 her husband preceded her in death, which left her to care for her children.
In 1898 she came to Nebraska and settled on a farm near Worms; 12 years later she moved to Palmer where she lived for thirteen years. In 1923 she went to Live with her daughter in Lincoln, where she remained until the time of her death.
She passed away Sunday May 16 at the age of 73 years, 4 months and one day. Her loss is mourned by her children: Herman Kruse of St. Libory, Will, John and Martha Kruse of Lincoln, Fred Kruse and Mrs. Bruno Burkhardt of Palmer, one sister and one brother of Palmer and one sister of Nashville, Ills.
Funeral services were held May 19 at the Lutheran Church at Worms, of which she was a faithful member until death. May she rest in peace.
