Afternoon For Alfred Studley - Funeral services for Alfred H. Studley, who passed away Sunday of a heart attack, were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:15 at his home and at 2 o'clock from the Methodist Church, with Rev. A. Clyde Ehert of North Loup officiating. Interment was in Hillside cemetery. The Methodist Choir sang: "Home of the Soul", "Does Jesus Care" and "Abide With Me". Mrs. J. Wilson was pianist. Pallbearers were: Jesse L. Scott, Robert Blacklock, Archie Nelson, John Skrivan, Chris Andersen and A. J. Larsen. Honorary Pallbearers were: Billie Kinney, Ernest Starr, Dr. A. H. Holm, D. H. Marcoe, Chas Smith and Ben Best. Alfred H. Studley was born at Cabry, Illinois on March 22, 1877 and died at his home 10 miles north of Wolbach on March 12, 1950 at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 20 days. He had farmed at that place for 46 years and had apparently been in fair health until the time of his death. He came to Nebraska in 1894 and was married to Emma Zimbleman November 30, 1903. To this union five children were born: Bessie Berney of Twin Falls, Idaho; John and Lloyd of Greeley; Dale of North Platte and Shirley Lammers of Greeley. Besides his wife and children he leaves to mourn his passing, seven brothers, Bill, Ben, George, Ora, Charlie, Harry and Eddie; one sister, Mrs. Emma Caudill, eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter and a host of friends. His parents, one brother, three sisters and one granddaughter preceded him in death. He was a kind and loving husband and father and always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors and friends in time of need. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends because to know him was to love him.
