  www.findagrave.com: www.findagrave.com/memorial/88473872/verlon-moos Verlon Moos was born December 1, 1924 at Fairfax, South Dakota to William and Emma (Horst) Moos and he died April 5, 2012 at the Wagner Community Hospital in Wagner, South Dakota at the age of 87 years. Verlon attended Fairfax Public School and graduated in 1942. It was then that he met his sweetheart of 60 years and his wife of 56 years, Jeanie Hausmann. They were married on January 31, 1946. They farmed in the Fairfax area all of their lives. Verlon was a member of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Fairfax where he was a member of the church council and Knights of Columbus. The pride and joy of his life was his family, he and Jeanie hosted many family get-to-gethers at their house. He enjoyed farming and took great pride on his farm. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who was in need. Grateful to have shared his life are: his son, Bill and special friend Virginia Matlock; his daughter, Judy and husband Norbert Koenig; his son, Randy and wife Linda; and his daughter, Kathy and husband Steve Cahoy; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Verlon was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanie; his parents; and by his sister, Ruth Skalla. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Fairfax. Burial will be in the St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Fairfax. There will be a rosary on Monday at 7:30 PM at the church. Visitation will be one hour prior to both services at the church.
