On his WWII draft registration card, Warren listed himself as a doctor (the 1920 census confirms that he was a surgeon) and was living at Hotel Clark in Stockton, California. His place of business was 242 N. Sutter Street (Medico-Dental Bldg). He named his half-brother, George L. Parker, in Tracy, California, as his reference. (This registration was referred to as the "old man's registration", was conducted on 27 April 1942 and registered men who born on or between 28 April 1877 and 16 February 1897 - men who were between 45 and 64 years old - and who were not already in the military.)He took a trip abroad and returned from Liverpool to New York on the SS New York on 25 April 1915 after an eight-day voyage.
