Tamar was the oldest child/daughter of Benjamin and Dorothy (White) Whitcomb of Lancaster, Worcester Co., Mass.
Her parents lived in that part of Lancaster, which was set off as the town of Leominster in 1740, when she married Asa Johnson, Feb. 22, 1753 in Leominster, Worcester Co., Mass. and had 14 children.
Tamar was living on the "Sewell-Tyler place" when she died.

"Died" - "In Leominster, Widow Tamar Johnson, aged 80. She was the first child born in Leominster and is the mother of 14 children, all now living."
