Mrs. Michael Leininger died at her home eight miles northeast of the city on Friday morning at 1:30 o'clock. She had reached the ripe old age of eighty four years. Mrs. Leininger was born in Germany but came to America in early life. Coming to Boone County in 1856 and for over forty years she lived on the homestead entered from the government. Mrs. Leininger leaves eight children, six boys and two girls. One resides in Ohio and another in Kansas while the rest of the family live in Boone county. Her husband has been dead about a year. The deceased was a consistent member of the German Lutheran church and the funeral was held Sunday morning at 10 o'clock from the Mackey church. Rev Brandes officiating. The remains were interred in the church cemetery at that place.
