He was born Nov. 10th, 1810 at Wranby, Lincolnshire, England. In August 1831, he married Caroline Wattam, and immediately emigrated to this country, settling in LaPorte county, Indiana, in September of the same year. In June 1879 he removed to Merrick county, this state, where he resided until his death. He leaves a wife and nine children to mourn the loss of husband and father. Three of his children preceded him to the land unknown to the living.
