John J. Schultz, 84, Neosho, died at 1:33 pm, Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Freeman Neosho Hospital, following an illness. John was born Jan. 10, 1924 in Wheeler, KS, one of nine children. He served in the Infantry during WW II. John worked as co-manager of the Wheat and Cattle Ranch; worked as lead person at North American Aviation (Rocketdyne); owned and operated the Wildcat Drive Inn; worked as plant superintendent for La-Z-Boy in Neosho and co owned and operated Woodland Industries in Neosho. He was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Neosho. John and Darlene Zimbelman were married on June 4, 1944 at Goodland, KS and she survives. Additional survivors include a son, Ron Schultz and wife, Marilyn, Joplin; a daughter, Darla Graue, Anderson; one granddaughter, Tisha Bowman, Neosho; one grandson, Justin Graue and wife, Julie, Neosho; three great grandchildren, Carter and Lili Graue and Lindsey Bowman; one brother, Rueben Schultz, St. Francis, KS and one sister, Mildred Kroeger, Lincoln, NE. He is preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
