(1870 Census) William and brother Charles Beebe moved from Minnesota to the Edgerton area about 1883 and started farming. William was also a harness maker, which he continued after moving to Platte in 1899. The Shindler family also moved from Minnesota to the Edgerton area in the early 1800s to try farming in a new area. (1885 census) Margaret Shindler had 3 children with William. She left him and the children in the 1890's. Margaret met and married a man named Green and had a child with him. He died about 1900 and Margaret remained in Nebraska and many years later, died there. Will married Pearl Hawkins in 1900 and lived the rest of his life in Platte except for a few years in Sioux Falls, SD.
