Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 26, at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Lee Smith and Reverend Paul Babb officiating. Burial was in the G.A.R. Cemetery. Marjorie June Fischer was born October 20, 1935, to Emanuel and Marie (Eisenbraun) Fischer in Hyde County. She Married Richard Oakley on June 2, 1954, in the Methodist Church in Pierre. She lived all her life in the Miller area. She is survived by her husband of Miller; four sons, Rocky, Rich, Terry and Jesse, all of Miller, and two daughters, Dawn (Oakley) Parmely of Wessington and Marcie of Miller: seven grandchildren; her mother, Marie, and stepfather, Charlie Mormon, of Arlington; two brothers, Leonard Fischer of Rapid City and Marlin Fischer of Arlington; and one sister, Mrs. Malvin (Doris) Bitterman of Huron. She was preceded in death by her father; two brothers, Melvin and Benny Fischer; and one infant granddaughter. Pallbearers were Darrell Chipman, Don Price, Loren Rosemore, Lonnie Fischer, Raymond Caffee and Lenny Fischer.
