Information taken from the Sheridan County, ND History Book pg 646 - 647. Andrew and his wife Mathilde started farming on a farm 1 3/4 miles east of the homestead of his parents. He bought his wife's stepfather's farm and began his farming career. After the death of their young son Richard in 1908 (from a fire) they sold the farm and they moved 1 1/2 miles west of the old homestead. Later Andrew and Mathilde bought the Plumb house in Lesterville across from the depot where they retired. The farm was turned over to their son Walter.
