OBITUARY
(Translated by Christa Grenz)
Der Sendbote, 11 May 1892, p. 3.
Margaretha Woehl, nee Brenneisen, born on 08 March 1853 in Gueldendorf, South Russia, passed on on the 23 April following a premature birth and later infection of the abdomen (uterus). She had the great privilege to be allowed to love Jesus, as her Savior, already in the year of her life, and after she lived in this country for one year and got to know our church, she was baptized with her husband and an adult daughter who had also become a believer. Her quiet demeaner was blessed of God and testified of her love for the Lord. She raised 11 children during her 18 year long marriage, of which two have already preceded their dear mother. After a long time of suffering, she softly (peacefully/quietly) passed away. The undersigned, who was permitted to remain at her death bed during her last six hours, chose the Bible verse that she spoke at the end: Revelation 21:4, as the text of his talk in the local reformed church, that was willingly (graciously) put at our disposal. May the Lord richly comfort our brother, who stood around the casket of the loyal (faithful) mother with his nine, not yet grown children.
Eureka, South Dakota 25 April 1892

Margaret and child are buried in an unmarked cemetery a few miles east of the St Andrew's Church rural Wishek. The cemetery is fenced; however, there are no tombstones for the few people buried there.
