  www.findagrave.com: www.findagrave.com/memorial/45066910/christina-wilhelmina-knorr Minnie was named in the German tradition for her two grandmothers--Christina [Heier] Strab and Wilhelmina Christina [Fickel] Kämmle. A list of 'firsts' in the records of the Hope Valley Church was that her marriage to John on May 24, 1910, was the first in the new church. They lived all their lives in this community; she died, however, at her son's home in Oklahoma. At least two of her nephews and nieces for whom Minnie and John were sponsors at their baptisms have fond memories of this aunt and uncle. Aunt Minnie never forgot Christmas, birthdays or occasions like high school graduation, always sending a gift. There are also fond memories of her vegetable soup, which was called by the German name borscht!
