William V. "Bill" ZIMPLEMAN, 76, Fulton, died at 9:38 p.m. Saturday at the Memorial Hospital, Logansport.
Born in Grass Creek to Edward and Helen ADAIR ZIMPLEMAN, he married Bonnie EYTCHESON on Sept. 27, 1947 in Tipton; she survives. He was a retired farmer. A 1938 graduate of Fulton High School, he was a Flying Tiger fighter pilot during WWII while stationed in the Far East with the 14th Air Force Division and rose to the rank of Captain. He was a member of the Fulton Baptist Church, Elks Lodge 66, 14th Air Force Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1343.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Jack and wife Diane ZIMPLEMAN, Rochester; and Gene and wife Kimberly ZIMPLEMAN, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and nine grandchildren, Angie, Ryan, Greg, Laura, Kyle, Todd, Marla, Andrea ad Austin [ZIMPLEMAN]. He is also survived by a sister, Dorothy E. ANDERSON, Logansport. He was preceded in dearth by two brothers, Kenneth and Dean ZIMPLEMAN, and twin sons.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport, with Pastor Lonnie PETERS officiating. Burial will be at Fulton Cemetery with full military graveside rites. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday at the McCloskey-
Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home.
