Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Mike Inman of Hospice of Siouxland officiating. Burial will be in Willow Township Cemetery, Holly Springs, Iowa. Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Forney was born Nov. 13, 1922 in Holly Springs, the daughter of William Loyd and Rosa (Steinhoff) Beebe. She was raised in Holly Springs and graduated from Holly Springs Consolidated School in 1940. She married Charles Forney on Aug. 12, 1945, in German City, Iowa. The couple moved to Sioux City in 1975. She was employed with Wells Fargo Security for 10 years at the Sioux City Airport. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in German City. She enjoyed reading. Survivors include her husband; a son and his wife, Charles and Diana of Flower Mound, Texas; two grandchildren, Amanda and Alex Forney; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joyce Parkhill. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Siouxland.
