Mrs. Ralph C. Steinhoff, 81, 3211 Dodge Ave., died Friday, June 5, 1981 at a Sioux City hospital after an illness of several weeks.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 9 at St. John’s Church at German City, two miles east of Holly Springs, Iowa. The Rev. Henry M. Held will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at the Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.
Mrs. Steinhoff, the former Pearl M. Sulsberger, was born July 2, 1899 at Holly Springs. She was a lifelong Woodbury County resident, residing in Sioux City since 1962.
She married Mr. Steinhoff Feb. 10, 1920, in Sioux City. He died Dec. 17, 1967.
She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Church in German City.
Survivors include two sons, Ray of Climbing Hill, Iowa and Everett of Trenton, Mo.; four daughters, Mrs. Lucille Johnk in South Carolina, Mrs. Thelma Steinback of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Evelyn Griffith of Lawton, Iowa and Mrs. Shirley Geise of Bartlett, Iowa; a brother, Charles of Climbing Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Smith of Whiting, Iowa and Mrs. Lena Bryan of Sioux City; 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
