Lillian Lenora Hieb, 90, formerly from Rupert and Twin Falls, Idaho, and Yuma, Ariz., passed away peacefully Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, Calif. Her loving daughter, Penny, and grandson, Craig, were by her side.
Lillian was born in Kulm, N.D., on April 25, 1925, to Olga and Jacob Fetzer. She was one of 10 brothers and sisters. She married Leonard Hieb on February 27, 1944, in Paul, Idaho, and they were married for 67 years. He preceded her in death in 2011.
Lillian was a bright light—an extraordinary woman with a unique combination of warmth, an uncanny sense of humor and solid practicality.
She is survived by daughters, Penny Hieb Turk (John) of Vista, Calif., and Teena Hieb Wright of Boise, Idaho; grandson, Craig Hill (Stacey) of San Marcos, Calif.; granddaughter, Lexie Wright, and great-granddaughters, Allison and Ava Hill; a sister, Linda Fetzer Nickel Miller (Ron) of Redlands, Calif.; and a brother, Marvin Fetzer (Chris) of Forest Hill, Calif. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; her parents; four sisters and three brothers.

A private family memorial service will be held Friday, September 11, 2015, at Calvary Chapel in Oceanside, Calif.
