Notizen - www.findagrave.com:
Clair F. Schultz, 94, of Lodi, died in a Daly City hospital on Monday, April 20, 1998.
A native of Iowa, he was born March 19, 1904. Mr Schultz began painting houses with his father and worked for the railroad for a period of time before moving to Wyoming where he worked in the oil fields for a short period and then went to work for Goldman Painting as a foreman.
While in Wyoming he met and married Iva Naderhoff. Throughout this period he sharpened his skills as a sign painter. When he moved to Lodi in the 1930s he worked for Randolph Signs painting through the war and for Pollock Brothers Shipyard as Layout Supervisor.
After the war he returned full-time for Randolph Signs until his retirement at age 65 when Randoolph was sold to Scott Brother Signs. He then stated his own sign painting business as "The Old Pro" and continued working until he was 87.
He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and was a past member of Knights of Columbus.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Iva Schultz; one son, one daughter and nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
