Lenora Landsiedel, 79, Garrison, died on Friday December 7, 2012 at her son's home in Salem, OR. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 14, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, U.C.C. in Garrison with Rev. Steve Holmes officiating.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3 to 7 at the First Congregational Church in Garrison.
Burial will be at the Garrison Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Seidler, Richard Seidler, Allan Fetzer, Lyle Landsiedel, Darren Landsiedel, and Keith Landsiedel.
Lenora was born February 13, 1933, along with twin sister Lorraine to Benjamin & Emelie (Buechle) Fetzer near Max, ND, where she was raised and educated. She was a long time member of the First Congregational Church, U.C.C.
On June 19th, 1955, she married Virgil Landsiedel in Garrison and they made their home in Underwood where Lenora was a homemaker. In 1964 they moved to Garrison where she had a daycare for over 25 years caring for many children in the Garrison community. Lenora enjoyed quilting, making many quilts for her children and grandchildren, gardening, and canning many fruits and vegetables for the long winters. She was an avid baker, loved to travel to see her sons, daughter & grandchildren, and was always doing things with her twin sister.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharlene Ward of Weatherford, OK; three sons, Terry of Rosamond, CA; Roger of Aurora, CO; and Lynn(Brenda Miska)of Salem, OR. Five grandchildren, Michelle Mespelt (Aaron), Salem, OR; Steven Ward, Weatherford, OK; Christopher Ward, Lakewood CO; Ryan Landsiedel, Salem, OR and Cody Landsiedel, Aurora, CO; one brother, Erwin Fetzer (Judy), of Surrey; two sisters, Lorraine Seidler of Coleharbor and Glorraine Thomas (Richard) of Everett, WA, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil, one son, Steven, parents, Benjamin and Emelie Fetzer, brothers, Edwin, Rueben, LeeRoy, Alvin, & Harold Fetzer, and sisters, Leona Haupt, Betty Sayler & Ruby Weideman.
