Marvin Lippert left our lives on Friday, October 14, 2016, in the loving presence of his family, following an 18-month battle with esophageal cancer.
He arrived into the world on April 11, 1954, along with his twin sister, Mavis. They joined George and Elsie and four siblings. Before the age of one, the family moved from Gackle, ND, to Washington State, eventually settling in Cashmere. Marvin graduated from Cashmere High School in 1972, spent a short time in the U.S. Army while attending WSU. In 1974, Marvin went to work for Cascade Helicopter in Cashmere. He continued work in the aviation industry until his ill health progressed.
Marvin was a friend to everyone, he knew no strangers. Marvin’s acquaintances will always remember his jokes and comical one liners. Trouble shooting was a high trait of Marvin. There wasn’t a problem he couldn’t fix; he was deeply regarded for this, as well as his organizational practices.
Missing him are his wife of 36 years, Cheryl; daughter, Megan (David) Anderson; son, Benjamin (Kelsey) Lippert; brother, Harry (Jan) Lippert; sister, Mavis (Bob) Green; sisters-in-law, Janet Lippert and Kathy Lippert; three granddaughters: Marin and Layla Anderson and Alexa Lippert; also survived by his extended family and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elsie Lippert; in-laws, Gordon and Ruth Geyer; sister, Donna Mae Lippert; and brothers, Darrel and Larry Lippert.
The family wishes a heartfelt thanks to the caring oncology, radiation, and Hospice team of Confluence Health and Cheryl’s Lab Family. Memorials are suggested to the Cashmere Community Club, Cashmere. A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the Mission Creek Community Club, 4724 Mission Creek Rd., Cashmere, WA, at 1:00 p.m. You are invited to view his online guestbook at www.HeritageMemorialChapel.com .
Arrangements are by Heritage Memorial Chapel, Cashmere, WA.
