Albert Hofferber of Keenesburg, a farmer, died June 8 [2001]. He was 85.
Services were June 13 at Heritage Community Bible Church. Interment was in Crown Hill Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 11, 1915, in Bruning, Neb. On May 18, 1935, he married Bertha Graff in Brighton.
Hofferber farmed in Prospect Valley for 80 years. He was a member of the Colorado Seed Growers Association, Colorado State Fair and National Western Stock Show. He was a deacon and member of Zoar Congregational Church.
His interests included recreational-vehicle travel, music, dancing and playing the dulcimer.
He is survived by his wife; a son; a sister, Esther Zimbelman, Greeley; three grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
