Jamestown - Mrs. Lydia France, 75, died at her home here Saturday. Lydia Lehr was born in McIntosh County, ND, February 8, 1891 to Fred and Elizabeth (Ohlauser) Lehr, and married Harry France in Gackle, North Dakota in 1940. She was first married to Adolph Klein at Jamestown, North Dakota on June 11, 1908. She was employed at a hospital in Jamestown since the death of her husband. Survivors include two sons and one daughter by a previous marriage, Leslie Klein, Mandan, ND, James Klein, Kentucky, and Nettie, Mrs. Alvin Kick, Bismarck, ND. A third son, Joseph died young. Seven brothers and sisters, Mrs. George Hummel and Fred Lehr, both of Jamestown; Emil of Vancouver, WA; Aaron, Correctionville, IA; Mrs. Ed Kroll, Lodi, CA; Mrs. Roy Hanson and Mrs. Jud Jessup, both of Dallas, TX. She was the widow of Harry H. France of Gackle who died 14 April 1942. Her first marriage was to Adolph Klein who died 9 Aug 1944 at Burleigh County, North Dakota.
