Services for Karl Quenzer, 69, who died suddenly December 31, 1951, were from Herreid Baptist Church January 07, 1951. Reverend E. S. Fenske officiated. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
He was born September 10, 1882, in South Russia, and at the age of 16, came to this country with his parents. He married Maria Broeckel in 1907. They had 12 children, two of which preceded him in death.
Survivors are his wife and ten children, Arthur of Artas, Esther (Martin) Wiedmeier of Mina, South Dakota, Edward of Herreid, Adam of Mound City, Johnny, Mrs. Phillip (Irene) Renz and Albert all of Herreid, Karl of Mound City, Martha (August) Renz of Mound City, and Theodore in the army; 19 grandchildren, two half brothers, Jacob of Pollock, and Andrew of Haynes, North Dakota; and three half sisters, Mrs. Maggie Dormeier of Magarel, Texas, Mrs. Emilia Reimer of Toppensih, Washington, and Mrs. Martha Pekema of Yuba City, California.
