Ella Ottmar was born Feb 11, 1920 in McIntosh County, ND the daughter of William Ottmar and Martha (Bader) Ottmar. She grew up in McIntosh County and received her elementary education in the local rural school. She helped on the family farm. She married Edwin Bauer on Oct 26, 1943 on her parents' farm near Wishek. They farmed and lived on his parents' farm until the fall of 1979 when they moved to Wishek. She worked at Wishek Retirement Home for about three years. He died on Jul 24, 2002. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, Wishek. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, crocheting and being a homemaker. She is survived by two daughters, Linda (James) Pritzkau, Sidney, MT and Shirley (John) Anderson, Belgrade, MN; two brothers, Karl (Dorothy), Bismarck, ND and Chris (Shirley), Osceola, Wisc; a sister, Emma (Chuck) Hulteen, Sun City, AZ; four grandchildren and two great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister and two brothers.
Services: 11am Mon, Zion United Methodist Church, Wishek with the Rev. Marty Toepke-Floyd officiating. Prayer service: 7pm Sun, Haut Funeral Homes, Wishek. Visitation: 1-8 Sun at the funeral home and one hour before the service at the church. Burial: Wishek City Cemetery, Wishek.
