Remains moved in 1997 from the Ottmar family cemetery. Ottmar cemetery was very close to a highway, and property was needed to widen said road.
The Northwest Blade, Eureka, South Dakota, November 1918
Ella Ottmar, daughter of Johann Ottmar and his wife Katherina Broeckel died at the young age of eight years, one month and five days. On November 09, 1918, her earthly remains were interred on her father's homestead. She died November 07, 1918, from the flu. Her parents and 12 siblings grieved at her graveside.
The same day and in the same grave Frieda Stuckle three month and 25 day old infant of Richard Stuckle and Katherina Ottmar was buried. So sleep now the young aunt and little niece side by side awaiting the glad day of the Resurrection. She was an only child.
