Born October 3, 1937 in Edenville, (Chambersburg) he was the son of the late Paul and Annie (Hawbaker) Myers. He was the husband of Jane (Gayman) Myers, and also a member of the Old Order River Brethren. He is survived by his wife; and two daughters, Dorene and husband, Lynn Diller of Somerset and Brenda and husband, James Wingert of St. Thomas; 15 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. He's also survived by a brother, Kenneth Myers, and wife, Janet (Stuff) of Chambersburg; sister, Norma Jean Meyers of Greencastle; and twin sister, Phillis, wife of Marlin Gayman of Chambersburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Chester Meyers. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at 10 AM, at Portico River Brethren Meeting House, with viewing one hour prior to the service. Bro. Kenneth Meyers, Bro. David Heckman, and Bro. Nathan Burkholder will be officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 11 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Portico River Brethren Meeting House, 5501 Fort McCord Road, Chambersburg. Interment will be held at the Brechbill Cemetery following the service.
