[From the Ellinwood Leader] “Henry A. Knipp has accepted a position with the Citizens State Bank, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. Rose. Mr. Knipp has graduated from the Hutchinson Business College and will make the bank an efficient clerk.”

ELLINWOOD — Henry A. Knipp, 70, died Sunday afternoon at the Ellinwood District hospital. He was born Aug. 5, 1887, in Ellinwood, and had lived there all his life. Knipp was a retired cashier of the former Citizens State Bank. He also was a former employe of an oil firm and was a veteran of World War I.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday from St. Joseph’s Catholic church here with the Rev. Gray O’Neill officiating. Burial will be in Ellinwood cemetery.
Rosaries will be said at 8 p.m. Monday and 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Weber and Cook chapel here.
Survivors includes three sisters, Elizabeth Knipp and Mrs. Chris Arensdorf, both of Ellinwood, and Mrs. Helena Hass, Woodward, Okla., and a brother, Joe, Scott City.
