REGINA D. BOWERSOX, 85, of Frederick, Md., died Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Northampton Manor Health Care, Frederick. Born February 5, 1929, near New Windsor, Md., she was the daughter of the late Maurice Martin Devilbiss and Estella Lowman Devilbiss.
Twice married, her first husband was Merton Gorsuch, who died in 1950; her second husband was James D. Bowersox, who died in 1990.
Mrs. Bowersox was a member of Edgewood Church of the Brethren. She retired from AT&T after 20 years of service. She enjoyed baking, traveling, playing canasta, and flower and vegetable gardening.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan Witmer, of Hagerstown, Md., and Lisa Booth, of Bowie, Md.; two sons, Austin Gorsuch, of Woodsboro, Md., and James Bowersox, of Frederick; two grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Miriam Devilbiss and Helen Devilbiss.
She was predeceased by a grandson, James Matthew Bowersox; and two brothers, Frank E. and William A. Devilbiss.
Interment was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick; Hartzler Funeral Home, Libertytown, Md. was in charge of the arrangements; a memorial service was held at Edgewood Church of the Brethren, New Windsor.
